Membership
Association membership is open to any and all descendants of Micum McIntire, whether by blood, marriage, adoption, domestic partnership, or any other family connection, as well as anyone interested in the purposes of the Association or interested in its work, including but not limited to:
· Early colonial New England history and family genealogy.
· The lives and histories of the other Scottish prisoners of war from the battles of Dunbar and Worcester, many of whose lives were intertwined with Micum’s.
· The lives of Micum’s brothers Philip McIntire and Robert McIntire.
· The histories of the communities where Micum lived—Oyster River (Durham, NH), Cocheco plantation (Dover, NH), Newichawannock (South Berwick, Maine), and York, Maine.
· Any and all aspects of the early colonial period in southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire coinciding with Micum’s lifetime (1651-1705)—including Native American history, the history of slavery in the region, etc.
· Any and all aspects of the lives of Micum’s descendants from all historical periods.
· Anyone affiliated with Clan Macintyre by any name or any spelling of MacIntyre, Wright, etc.
· Anybody who is just plain interested.
We invite and welcome articles about any of the above subjects. Please submit them by private message to any of this page’s administrators.
A mail-in application for membership is Available Here. Descendants of Micum McIntire or those interested in the work of the Micum McIntire Clan Association are encouraged to join the Association. Annual dues for new members are $20. Annual dues for renewing members (anyone who has ever been a member) are $15.
